A Moister (Box) Cake

Growing up in the Southern part of the United States there was no shortage of mayonnaise- EVER. I don’t care for the stuff. I admit, it has its benefits.
Let’s face it, we don’t always have time to sift the flour, cream and mix or wait for the eggs that need to come to room temperature before use when we must bake a cake lickity split. Thank goodness for Betty Crocker. Making the cake taste a little more homemade is easy. Add about 1/4 of a cup mayonnaise to your cake mix. The extra moisture adds to make a creamy tender cake that doesn’t taste like a box cake. Extra bonus, the already made mayonnaise from a jar is a time saver. So, yup, that’s it. Tatum’s Tuesday Tips: add mayonnaise to that box cake bake and call it a day.
