Yep, two ingredients. You could even add it to your smoothies. Turmeric is an anti-inflammatory antioxidant. Adding black pepper is said to help with absorptions though. And while you may not want your butter cream to have a pepper, you could start a trend? Maybe with your jade rice pudding? However you choose to use this food coloring in your cooking, I am going to make a bold claim and say, you can’t go wrong.

I made a triple batch. You may consider what pot and towel to use for this recipe. Turmeric stains. Wearing a reusable or disposable pair of glove is recommended.
Natural Yellow Food Coloring
1/4 c / 60ml water
1/2 tsp turmeric
In a small saucepan, boil both ingredients for 3 to 5 minutes. Allow to fully cool.
Add by the teaspoon into icing, frosting or batter to give a yellow hue.
In an airtight container, store in the refrigerator for up to two weeks. Be careful, turmeric can stain, so use a container you don’t mind turning yellow.
