Tatum’s Tuesday Tips:
Use equal parts cornstarch and water to create the same glowing glisten your egg (and water) wash creates for the tops of those baked breads, pies and pastries.
This is especially helpful tip if you used the last egg. Which I did. This is also most helpful if you are new to vegan baking and cooking.
Before baking wet your pastry brush with the cornstarch mixture and spread evenly. Don’t have a pastry brush? Use a spoon for the scooping and rub to distribute with your fingers. A little extra love goes into those baked goods that way. Right?
