Tatum’s Tuesday Tips: Wash your hands.Wash your asparagus. Prepare a container with cold water and place your clean sparkling unused asparagus inside. Close the lid. Place the happy swimming asparagus into your cooling device. Aka, refrigerator. It’s ready when you are. Cooking sooner is best.
FYI: This technique is also great when you don’t use all of the stalk. That was my reasoning for posting this tip. Earlier this week, I only needed half of the bunch and half of the stalk of the bunch I wanted to cook. I cut what I needed and into the water filled Pyrex the rest of it went. I covered Pyrex with a paper tower. I secured the paper towel with a rubber band.
