Rhubarb syrup is great for mocktails, cocktails or that last minute host and hostess gift when you want to give something other than flowers.
Rhubarb Syrup Ingredients:
40 pounds of Rhubarb
Water
Granulated Sugar
Neutral Grain Alcohol
Method for making:
Break down the rhubarb and place into a large pot, cover with water. Bring to a rolling boil and cook down for 1.5 hours. Strain, reserve liquid, discard solids. Return to the heat and add equal parts sugar to water, simmer for 15-20 minutes. Remove from the heat and cool. Add grain alcohol to fortify, approximately 1 ounce to every pint of finished syrup.
